Trying to classify this film is almost impossible because itborrows heavy action movies, novels, kung fu, games and music OTHERS components and graphics are fantastic, and both are vital to film.But as director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead ) merges them all togetherthat really make a difference.
Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is a young 20-something rockers, slackers, and all around dork who falls for that one day he sees his dreams thegirl .. But when he gets another chance to win her over hesucceeds.
Just things like "happy" he Ramonadiscloses it comes with some baggage in the form of seven angry ex-boyfriends. Before they can betogether Pilgrim must fight each of the "evil-exs" one by one. Oh yeah, andeach death struggle.
The rest of the film is about seven Exes UNION Pilgrim fight every evil to maintain his one true love of Ramona. But these struggles arelike nothing the audience has seen before. Their director is modeled classic video games. This includes shots, cancellations, hit a combination of the guitar wars, swords, whips and more. When contact is made, for example, increase thehead, we see the actual words as "Baam" or "slap" will be displayed in ofimpact point. Then, when the fighting continues in these words andshatter bubbles fall to the ground. Simply amazing.
Each of evil exes to bring their own special set of skills tothe struggle, and it helps prevent fights are too similar as a pilgrim must find unique ways to defeat each enemy.
