Here are the facts on Nigerian films are so many factors that must be protected from the public eye. The film made more than fifty years ago, in Nigeria, and in this way to extract a little 'out
Here is some information on the Nigerian film industry and this is my little story of the film industry in Nigeria, which was shot in a big name - Nollywood. Nollywood is the Nigerian version of Hollywood, who grew up to earn third place in worldwide film making industry.
Film production in Nigeria started fifty years ago and named Nollywood industry most likely to shoot the scene as well as works of focused and talented Nigerians, who believed in the dream of having a film industry that would stand shoulder against shoulder with what we have in America and India - with what I'm talking about Hollywood and Bollywood
Film production in Nigeria started with two foreign companies late sixties - Latola Films (1962) and Nigeria Ltd Calpeny Already in the eighties, the Nigerian film were either short plays, or extracts from the great book written by one of the most important writers of Nigeria.
The success of Nigerian movies do not run their own ups and downs, there were problems of funding and adequate equipment, in 1980, only a few were ready to begin production of films and throw a coin in it, not before the outbreak of the liberation of movie stars in the industry, ordinary people who have been in the industry with nothing started building fine houses and luxury cars.
"Yoruba traveling theater group," was the first men who really ventured into film production in Nigeria in 1970, the group was composed of men such as Ola Balogun and Eddie Ugbomah, Ade Adeyemi Afolayan aka Love (and father of Kunle Afolayan Irapada fame) , Ladi Ladebo, late Hurbert Ogunde, Adebayo Salami, Moses and Afolabi Adesanya Adejumo, these men produced such films as Harvest Kong and many others, which of course had very little fame.
Personally, my first impression of Nigerian films was a film produced by the artist Mike other Igbo Orinhedinma several early nineties, there are many Nigerian films that data is not visible to most people want now Nollywood films.
Most of the people of Nigeria should tell you that the first film ever produced in Nigeria was "Living in bondage", but in reality was a lot that never saw the limelight. The film "Live in Bondage" played a significant role in the growth of Nollywood, the film was shot on VHS camera and produced by Kenneth Kanayo O Kanayo Nnebue side as Rita Nzelu, Kenneth Okonkwo many others.
The films were the first Nigerian film, which was actually recorded in the Diaspora.
The Nigerian film industry has prospered from the dream of getting men to the largest film industry in third world churning about 200 new films every two months. The industry has grown in terms of human power and technical know-how, people with more education have ventured into business and made what it is today.
There are many people that the history of Nigeria's film industry will not be written without his name appears next to it, people like Kenneth Nnebue - the producer and co-actor in the first Nigerian movie success - Living in bondage, others include Fred Amata, Teco Benson, Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Ngozi Nwosu and many others.
