The Last Airbender Movie Full Online Review
The American animated series The Last Airbender from Nickelodeon TV hasbeenrunning for 3 years. It has all the best television possiblybeenthe 3 years in the last decade. With its complex character development, and revolutionary integral ingeniousstoryline hasbuilt this series a great success worldwide. In the hands of an experienced manager bigbudget, the great action movie history (ie, Peter Jackson - The Lord of the Rings orJamesCameron - Avatar) could have been a masterpiece. All the elements were there.
But M. Night Shyamalan is not a director with experience inthese kinds of movies. Most of his previous shows include drama and excitement. From Start slowly, build slowly and ends with a twist. Unfortunately, his inexperiencecomes through very clearly in this picture.
The story of The Last Airbender takes place in a fantasy world where there are four major tribes or nations. The people of each nation have the ability to control (or elbows) is one of the four classic elements of base (land, water, air and fire). There is supposed to be a balance between Dessa four nations, so that no one group can destroy the other. But theFireNation upset this balance by being much stronger than the other 3, andthey determined to conquer the world.
One person, an avatar can control all the sand of four elements provide a peaceful balance to the world. This avatar, named Aang (played by Noah Ringer) was the last known survivor Airbender wentmissing it 100 years ago when it was frozen in a block of ice. Fire Nation from the domination of the world Wishingtostop 2 people (Thurs. .. byNicolaPeltz Katara and Sokka ... his brother played by Jackson Rathbone) begins a hunt for missing thelong Aang. They eventually find and free him from his icy tomb.
The rest of the film is about Aang and his friend'sattempts for all four elements under their control and stop killing FireNationfrom worldwide.
Now this is a story and a massive built-in fans baseall director and the study did not blow. But, dammit, they did.
The first mistake was to try to cram an entire season of the series ... theTV 420 minutes worth ... in a film that lasts just over than90minutes. The result is an hour of the series being slaughtered storyline to2minutes time of the film. Many events were hosted in the series is now justmentioned in the film. And limitations of assembling 94 minutesmeans history in almost every line of dialogue to promote the story. It isvirtuallynothing that helps develop the characters. No dialogue or att back stories make us care about these characters. Suddenly, the situation envious ofhaving a finished product, built in public, is now a curse, as the fans waiting blevet this press release mocking and taunting the results.
The second mistake was that the actors involved in the rolesjust not very good. Yes, I know you are very young, but that somewhere wouldthink, the director could have found actors who looked likethey not read cue cards every time you deliver a line.
CGI and special effects were decent but not great. Withthe present, the advanced technology of special effects, we should haveseenscenes element of "folding", which would have wiped out. What've Been highlight is the only disappointment.
Overall, The Last Airbender is a great disappointment. Themovie ends in a way that indicates at least one sequel is coming. Theproblem is that no one will see it.
