What Makes A Successful IPOD?

It was by far the world's most popular electronic gift. What has become popular in a region where much cheaper MP3 players were a dime a dozen on the market? Even with the vaunted Apple name, took the iPod a little time to start. Since it was introduced in November 2001, it took 18 months before it's sold 1 million units. He has since exploded. It would have reached 10 million units by the end of 2004, with over 2 million copies sold in the third quarter 2004 and 4.5 million copies sold in the fourth quarter of 2004, which was more than fivefold, from less than one million sold in the fourth quarter of 2003. There are several reasons given why it is so successful. It is easy to use, it is elegant, it is solid, it works, it is supported by the mass marketing and is supported by Apple, which has a very strong brand. Naturally, all these factors are important, but I want to take two major reasons.1.) Style and the chill factor is very important, and Apple has always had lots of it.
After all, there is also the reason why people fork over money to buy a Levi? S jeans or a Nike sneaker. Branding has become so strong that people are not looking to buy an MP3 player but an iPod. It was almost like a cultural icon, but means that you do not want just a clock, but a Rolex, and not just a car but a BMW. Nokia the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones in the 90s, because they realize that what people want, not just a functional phone, but a fashion accessory. They came with a mobile phone that allows you to change the wardrobe to match your clothes and come out with phones that you could say. Much like the iPod - you wouldn t want to be seen with nothing else to understand this phenomenon is critical to success?.
A successful company should understand why anyone happy to pay $ 15,000 Cartier watch (when you have many fine watches under $ 100) still choose to drive two extra miles to buy shampoo at the local club instead of the supermarket discount on the price so that you can cents.2 save up to 40.) But I always believe that the product not just hype, but on the business fundamentals clear. And I know that one of the things that made the success of Apple was the understanding that people would also be happy to pay more than what they really need. After all, what's the point of selling the iPod that could store 10,000 songs? It can take months or even years to hear him even if only once in many producers selling MP3 players which can store only 1 or 2 hours of songs, rather than 600 hours worth.
But then, the technological landscape is truly full of examples that show people behave illogically, and I have really wanted to get what you think you might need, rather than what they really need. We are proud to be a camera that can make a resolution to 8 megapixels, but all we can distinguish or need is only 2 megapixels. We hope to get our messaging system, because we find the assignment of two megabytes is too tight (but really enough), and go to providers offering 1 gigabyte. Every year we see millions of people put in money to buy Microsoft Office when all you know how to use the functions can be satisfied with the cheaper Microsoft Works. Virtually all of our customers who use our accounting and payroll system using only less than half the features. Every street corner, we see cars that can offer two or three times the speed that the owner is really legally allowed to go or not go.
How many of us have iPods that can store 600 hours of music, when all we have in our collection is a little less than 100 hours? Do we really need so many? No, but we like to believe we do, or fear, potentially. We all like to dream big, think big, and we believe our needs are much more than usual. And I guess for suppliers who know how to use this trend, which not only provides what we need, but we delight in providing more, always have a place in our pockets.
