Bad Movie Review - El Convento
Convent is quite funny and very low-budget B-movie that desperately wants to be dead wrong, but he needs to sign. It 'was released directly to video in 2000 and has gained a small cult following.
The film opens with a flashback in the 1950s, when a teenage-style shooter in the monastery, in the best display of the mass-um .. clergyside since, well, ever I think. If anyone knows of another film that has several nuns and priests being fired, so I can compare, so let me know. Those of you who may be offended by the clergy have been brutally murdered do not worry, these nuns possessed by demons, and performed an abortion on the gun-woman of unknown causes, so they kind of that she deserved.
After the story of a hapless group of adolescents, including but not limited to, a pretentious Goth Goth Jock sperm reform, a cheerleader boring, and blank despair, the film really works range movie clich?s terror. Our hero, through a series of ridiculously bad calls so predictable horror film of the trial, end up in the race over evil zombie-religious (do not think he had to stay dead, do?) . As you can imagine with a theme, the film does not take itself too seriously and, as such, it is clear that the photos are mostly volunteers. In fact, I found it to be fun for the first 20 minutes, but quickly becomes tedious as the film progresses. The worshipers of Satan, the applicant, who gave me SNL "Goth Talk" flashbacks are a party legitimately funny movie.
Adrienne Barbeau also makes an appearance as the old version a little more crazy nun-killer of our teenagers. Horror fans will undoubtedly recognize from a series of films by John Carpenter from the early 80s, including fog. Unfortunately, it has little to do here, and I think the film could have benefited from exploring its more or less to give more time to do some screen shots ass.
Drop your jaw and Gore make-up effects of a low-cost (but much better), Evil Dead is unavailable, and usually, the special effects work in this film is rather sloppy. Some of the gore effects are intelligent, but the zombies seem to people who make-up, stuck under a black light, while having some sort of seizure. End of the film is perhaps one of the worst special effects for the companies I've seen in recent memory.
All in all, this is not a film that I did not want to see again to himself, but it's still worth watching, especially in a group of friends bad movie night. After all, how many nuns spastic zombies should go see the movie today?
Coolio makes a cameo in the time funny, second, but in the end, the film strains of laughs, and more often than not, unintentionally hilarious goes as at inappropriate times.
